Lobsters beaten in Trophy

Redhill were beaten by an enthustiastic Burnham side who were much more up for the match and showed great desire from the start.

Fielding a side without Gordon,Bingham,Bonnett and Hill who all started from the bench, redhill started slowly and conceeded free kicks in dangerous positions in the firsy half hour. Chances fell to the Burnham forwards on several occasions and their direct approach was causing problems for the Redhill defence.

Redhill didnt create chances and it was soon evident that the height of the two centre backs from any set piece was a concern.
After 34 mins aftwer a breakdown of a Redhill attack on the left the ball was sent into the penalty area to be converted for the first goal.

The second half came with Redhill pressing but a mistake from Bradley Duke coming forward with the ball and disposessed led to the right winger with a one v one on Max Huxter and the forward cooly placed the ball into the net to make it 0-2.
Soon after another breakaway goal was scored after Redhill tried to move forward to make it 0-3 after 65 mins.

£ substitutions and a consolation effort from Joe Bingham and a header off the bar from Gavin Gordon could not reduce the deficit enough and Redhill were out of the FA Trophy.
