Camberley Town 0 Redhill 3 - Saturday, 8th March 2025
Redhill found it difficult to create chances on a rock-hard pitch in the first half of Saturday's Premier South fixture at Camberley Town's Krooner Park. But the Lobsters came good in the second period as a dream-like spell of three goals in ten minutes kept them three points clear at the top with just six games still to play.
The Krooners' physical approach was evident from the start with Redhill's industrious midfielder Seb Tauta-Caballero being upended within four seconds of the kick-off. A first half in which the ball mostly seemed to be well above the players' heads saw the home side have to deal with a barrage of corners and long throws. But the Lobsters didn't manage to score, though they did come close with an Alex Keating shot that flew just over and a Sam Fitzgerald header that was cleared off the line.
Camberley were ultimately undone by some clever Redhill passes in behind their defence in the second half. From the first of those, provided by Tauta-Caballero on the hour, Timmy Obisanya impressively kept the ball under control at pace before gently slipping it past 'keeper Dom West as he rushed out. Then Nathan Hogan netted with firm shots on 67 and 70 minutes after being set up by Callum McAllister and Jaevon Dyer respectively.
The Krooners didn't give up but they certainly weren't going to overturn a three-goal deficit against the table-topping Lobsters.
