After two disappointing results, one in the Premier South and one in the FA Vase, Redhill got their season back on track with a four-goal blitz against Banstead at the Brow. They ran their local rivals ragged in the first half, Max Oldham and Fred Hill firing in a succession of inviting crosses, but only had one goal to show for their dominance.
On 24 minutes Carl Oblitey received a pass with his back to goal and a clutch of defenders behind him, quickly turning to slip a peach of a pass through to Yannick Monga who ran on to guide a shot wide of busy 'keeper Charlton Hopkins and into the far left corner.
Banstead are having a difficult season, propping up the Premier South table with only two points, but they threatened to equalise during a good spell early in the second half. Redhill needed a second goal to settle them down and it came with a classic on the hour. Amine Sassi, who had just had a free-kick superbly tipped round by Hopkins, curled a left-wing cross towards the far post, Oldham nodded the ball down and Oblitey smashed it in.
Ten minutes later it was 3-0. Captain and Interim Manager Antonio Simeone, standing near the edge of the penalty area, cleverly headed a corner forward into the six-yard box where the alert Oblitey back-headed the ball into the net for his eighth goal of the season.
The visitors pulled one back with Tobi Shoyoye's spot-kick for a foul but five minutes from time the Lobsters made it four, unmarked substitute Jason Kaate sweeping the ball home from a perfect Oldham cross.
