Redhill put newly promoted Sandhurst Town to the sword on Saturday as they began their Combined Counties League Premier Division South campaign in fine style with a 6-1 win at a windy Kiln Brow.

The Lobsters peppered the visitors' goal with shots and headers in the first ten minutes but then suffered the shock of going behind to last season's Division One Champions. The referee played the advantage after Haydon Vaughan had his shirt pulled and that allowed him to set up Naheer Nawaf for a firm shot past Luke Roberts.

Redhill continue to batter the Fizzers' goal with Tom Harland-Goddard and Tyrese Sutherland going close before Andrew Demby's free-kick soared into the top left corner for the equaliser on the half-hour. Nawaf then had his gentle spot-kick saved by Roberts before Harland-Goddard swept the Reds into an interval lead from Adam Grant's astute pass inside.

The Lobsters could have scored a hatful in the second half as Sandhurst slowly capsized. Jordan Clark's entertaining side did manage another four goals as Sutherland, Reuben Duncan with a penalty after a foul on Sutherland, substitute James Allen and skipper Lewis Taylor with a deflected 25-yarder got on the scoresheet.
