Redhill picked up their first points of the season with a win over Southall.

Barry Wilde and his team have lift off in the Combined counties Premier Division, after a 2-1 win at Southall, a victory that was thoroughly deserved.

The Reds starting line up had a new look to it, as some new faces looked to help the Lobsters to their first win of the new season. Mo Diakite partnered Jordan Martin at the back, while Callum McLean and Eddy Mbango made debuts. Tony Martin was back and Fred Hill started out on the left after his return to the club.

It was Tony Martin who gave the visitors a fantastic start on 20 minutes with a blockbuster strike which had the Southall keeper with no chance. The home side who have being scoring goals for fun so far this campaign didn't lie down though and were level 10 minutes later, another great strike beating Minchin in the Reds goal.

The first half scoring wasn't done though and the Lobsters led again 3 minutes later, Fred Hill converting from the spot to give Redhill the lead at the break.

The second period was an important one for the Reds who needed to get their season back on track after a poor start.

There were chances at both ends, as the hosts continued to look for a way back into the game, but the Reds had their moments to kill the game off which weren't taken. But in the end they run out deserved winners and pick up a massive three points. Next up for Redhill is Cobham at home.
