Redhill kept up their impressive form with a comfortable win over Guildford City.

The Reds made it five wins in six as they comprehensively beat Guildford at a chilly Kiln Brow last night. Mo Diakite confirmed his status as one of the division's most lethal strikers with another brace, taking his personal tally up to 11 goals in his last 11 appearances. Derick Hayford, impressive on the flanks again in only his second start, weighed in with the other goal as Redhill continue to try and move up the table with their games in hand.

Buoyed by that extraordinary win at table-topping Ascot United a week ago, the Reds tore into Guildford from the start with the visitors having to pack their defence to stem the tide. As a consequence they didn't mount an attack worthy of the name until the 22nd minute, Ocansey's shot drifting well wide. At the other end it was all hands to the pump as a Matt McKenzie blast missed by inches and Diakite and Gary Abisogun were unlucky to see their efforts blocked. The inevitable opening goal didn't arrive until four minutes before the break, Abisogun chasing a long throw down the right and spearing a low cross into the near-post area for Diakite to lift the ball high into the net.

Two further Redhill strikes inside four minutes early in the second half made the result safe. Some calamitous Guildford defending, which included the last player missing his kick completely, left Hayford in the clear at the far post to calmly slot home for 2-0. Then Diakite confidently sidestepped their centre-half to bury a third. Almost immediately the visitors' night got even worse when Webbe saw yellow and then red, apparently for persistent dissent. Three minutes from time Guildford substitute Huckle scored with a right-footer from just outside the box but it hardly mattered with the Reds already home and dry.
