A frustrating afternoon for the Reds at the Kingfield Stadium.

A single goal for Sheerwater was enough to give them all three points over Redhill. The Lobsters went into the game on the back of two wins, with victories over Bagshot in the Vase and Sutton Common Rovers in the league on Monday, but couldn't keep their mini run going.

Barry Wilde went with the same side that had beaten Rovers on Monday, and had some defensive cover back in the squad with Jon Trotter and Jack Higgins making the Redhill bench.

In a first half of very few chances both sides enjoyed the fantastic playing surface at the Kingfield Stadium. It was a tight affair as both teams looked to get the upper hand in the hunt for three points.

The second period began with more penetration as Morgan Jenden tried to add to his stunner at Sutton, but his strike was always rising over the Sheerwater bar. The hosts were threatening more and took the lead on 52 minutes. A quick break by the home side left gaps at the back for the Reds and Sheerwater took full advantage beating Minchin to make it 1-0.

The visitors made a triple change with just over 20 minutes to play as they looked to find an equaliser, with Abisogun, Mbango and Hill being replaced by King, Harrison and young Matt McKenzie but the changes couldn't find a breakthrough and the Lobsters went down to a 1-0 defeat.
