Become A Redhill Volunteer

We're always on the look out for enthusiastic and friendly people to join us at Redhill.

Without volunteers at Redhill their would be no football club, it's our 125th anniversary this season, that's 125 years of good people making sure everything runs as well as possible.

We're always on the lookout for people who are willing to help with the many tasks we as a club have to carry out.

If you have any free time then why not come down and see what we do and have a peep behind the scenes at Kiln Brow.

We asked a few of our committee members and volunteers what being a part of it means to them.

Paul Heasman - Programme editor/pitch maintenance.

My first game at Kiln Brow was at the start of the 1988/89 season but it was not until 15/16 that I started to get more involved, I was getting into match day photography and from this I guess I was head hunted for a position on the committee and next thing I knew I was on Redhill’s media team working on the improvement of the match day programme and printing them at home.

I also help looking after our pitch maintenance and its machinery servicing which is never ending but when we get a compliment saying the pitch looks good or you have done well to get the game on after heavy rain somehow the arthritis gets forgotten.

I find that being a Kiln Brow volunteer not only gives me a sense of achievement it’s also a great way to escape from work and life’s problems, getting stuck into one of our many tasks is like having a reset button for me.

It’s not all hard work, there is always time for a laugh and a joke, our committee works hard to improve the clubs facilities but we always have time for banter and Pete’s cakes on a Saturday morning.

Tom Cope - Does a bit of everything.

I feel that being a committee member allows me to help those on the pitch to produce the best possible results for the club. I feel that reviewing yesterday to make today better and look at what we have learnt to shape tomorrow then that is worthwhile to me.

Simone Forzani - Canteen Help

I'm new to the club having offered to help out in the canteen when I can this season, my first taste of Redhill was during the junior tournament in July and it was great to see so many excited youngsters around the ground enjoying their day! I've been made very welcome by everyone and I'm looking forward to getting more involved in the future.

Charlie Bright - Media Manager/U18s Manager.

This is my 4th year on the committee at Redhill, I offered a hand just after we were relegated to Division One of the Combined Counties. I started by taking on the media role, which included at the time the match day programme and social media stuff. Some of the opportunities that have come my way have been great and it has definitely helped me grow as a person. Last season I also joined the football side of things as assistant manager of the U18s and in the summer became U18s manager, showing anyone can learn and progress. It's great to be part of a club that has always meant a lot to me. It would be great to have some new faces around the place in the near future.
