Knaphill 0 Redhill 5 - Saturday, 26th February 2022

For the fourth time this season Redhill won 5-0 away from home and this time it was Knaphill, lying 14th in the Premier Division South table, who were put to the sword in the sunshine at Redding Way. Lucas Atkins, a teenage midfielder from Welling United, scored twice on his competitive debut and two other players - Alpha Diallo and Lee Peacock - notched their first goal for the Lobsters.

Knaphill have been the draw specialists this season, with eleven already in the Premier South, but they were second best from the start on Saturday. Redhill dominated a first 30 minutes in which worthy efforts by Jamarie Brissett, Jack Knight and Atkins brought the best out of the Knappers' young 'keeper Jos Barker. But then the floodgates opened to such an extent that the Reds found themselves 4-0 up by half-time!

Nathaniel Kenlock was fouled a yard outside the box on the left and Atkins' clever free-kick sneaked in at the near post. Knaphill defenders twice lost possession in dangerous areas inside three minutes and Knight was the first to profit as he raced clear to tuck a low left-footer into the far corner. Then Diallo got away from two defenders who had left the ball to each other before blasting high into the net.

A penalty for another trip on Kenlock led to the Lobsters' fourth. Barker blocked Knight's firm shot from the spot but Atkins kept his head in a scramble to poke home the loose ball. The second half was flat at times with the game already won but near the end Peacock slid in a fifth after Jason Kaate's excellent run and cross and Jack Minchin made a brilliant save from Danny Taylor's spot-kick for Knaphill, flicking the ball up onto the top of the bar with his right hand.

Redhill: Minchin, Edwards, Kenlock, Wadmore (McCarthy), Drinkwater, Dyett, Diallo (Kaate), Jarrett, Knight (Peacock), Atkins, Brissett (Stone)
